Kingdom of Salvation - Lost In Chaos
Self-financed

file under speed / thrash metal

Kingdom of Salvation - Lost In ChaosWilco: Thrash metal is a German affair, it has always been like that and it always will be. This act, Kingdom of Salvation (KoS), has its home base in Leverkusen, in the middle of the Ruhr area, breeding ground of German thrash metal. The demo-album is very much cared for and looks professional. The same goes for the booklet with the lyrics.

But the music and the sound are what counts, of course. In this case the first minor problem comes to live. The band produced this album themselves. The sound is ok, however, the difference between this album and a professionally recorded album can clearly be heard. The thrash metal offered by KoS is in no way innovative and will not attract attention by its musical identity. I wonder if anyone is waiting out for this record. However, by simply ignoring this record we will deprive these German lads. The music has some interesting elements in it. The instrumental parts, mainly, do often sound very energetic, for example ‘Misery Broadcast’. ‘Crusader’ is another interesting song, partly caused by the black metal influences. With more vocal variation this record would gain even more interest. Singer ‘Jussi’ has a mean sounding voice, but he rarely uses some variation.

With some more vocal variation and a better sound the next record should be able to get the heads in Germany banging, because there are more than one or two interesting things that I hear. Keep on trying, there is talent, I can hear.
