Koen: Whip started as an underground project a few years ago. The present line-up consists of Grrr (guitars and vocals), Sturt (guitars and agony), Kai (bass) and Ygg (drums). The band is highly appreciated amongst famous Norwegian musicians like Darkthrone’s Fenris: “One of the most promising live bands in Norway now for sure” or Carpathian Forest’s Nattefrost: “Whip is ugly and dirty! Reminds me of a disease! Fuckin' necropervo!”

Depending on which side you see it from, ‘Godfucking & Wardreams’ is a great or a horrific CD. Maybe Whip live is a bloody experience, but I had some difficulties enjoying this four-tracker because these brutal grind/thrash metal songs with a punk drive are way to short to attract my attention. Maybe I need more than just eight minutes of crusty black grindcore approximating Sadistik Execution to get pleasure from it. Full-length please!
