New York Dolls - One Day It Will Please Us To Remember Even This Roadrunner Records file under Hardrock / AOR
Ralph: It would be crazy to go over the New York Dolls history in detail here, I’d like to re direct you to the great story at wikipedia Http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/New_York_Dolls for that. This major influence to a variety of (later) successful bands was active from 1971 until 1977 and got back together in 2004. The remaining members that is, because the Dolls lost a few of their own down the road of sex, drugs and rock ‘n roll back in the day.
On this album it’s for all to hear where Kiss and Motley Crue (for instance) got their inspiration from. Weird thought if you consider that this only is their third official release! The pure rock ‘n roll, blues and punk make the New York Dolls a unique outfit, respected throughout the music industry. They still rock, that is clear when you listen to this 2006 album. Yes, I know we are now used to bands that are a lot heavier but this record can compete with all of them. Especially fans of bands I mentioned before should go and get this, you’ll be surprised by the fact you’ll recognize so much.
