Ralph: These Finnish have to stop! The Wake is another outfit from the land of a thousand lakes and you probably know they do some melodic death thing. The big question is whether they can come up with some kind of trendsetting or original trademarks like – for instance- fellow countrymen Naildown (see review in this issue). No, sorry but no. Although ‘Death-a-Holic’ is a intense and heavy album it never reaches the beyond average level. Most of you will probably not care about that but I ask myself if need another thing like this when we have Arch Enemy, Dark Tranquillity and others roaming the globe already. Time will tell I guess and these guys are good at what they do, I have to be honest about that.
