Richard G.: Second Shadow is a band that leaves rather little to the imagination, both artwork and music are straight to the point and hit you where it hurts. ‘Line Up ]execution style’ is filled with robust death/thrash and the balance between fast and furious and slow and hard has been kept pretty well. The sound is nice and tight (though the production could have been a bit thicker) and the songs are fired straight at you without a single doubt. Unfortunately these Norwegians make the same mistake that lots of similar bands make as well: the songs are all good individually, but the biggest part of them resemble each other a bit too much. For this six song EP it’s not so big a problem, but future full-lengths could suffer greatly from this. ‘Line Up [executiosn style]’ is still in the safe zone, though.
