Winston: Some bands rehearse and practice for years to become a real band. Songs and music develop with them in time and often exist for a long time before they get recorded. But there are also bands that are born by coincidence in a studio. XsavioR is such a band. The musicians Edman, Flores, Garnås, Jansson and Norberg knew each other from the large Swedish musicians scene and decided to put their love for progressive music into actual form and boy, the result is incredible!
A direct hit in all places. Last year Göran Edman surprised me as the singer for Karmakanic and now he tops it with the XsavioR band. The fabulous singer keeps developing himself and now has a permanent spot in the highest rank of quality vocalists. His performance is very impressive. In the song ‘By The Golden River’ he gets female company of Helen Olofsson which is a double enjoyment.

The music is varied, original, emotional, energetic, catchy and complex, the perfect ingredients for a prog cake of the highest quality. There’s no need to point out a certain song because they all carry the same five starred elements, really. The high level is omni-present. As the perfect finishing touch the albums’ artwork was done by prog artist Mathias Norén so Caleidoscope got a perfect visual suit.
