Timeless Miracle - Into The Enchanted Chamber
Massacre

file under Heavy / Power metal

Timeless Miracle - Into The Enchanted ChamberEddy: When you are feeling a little bit down and you put a CD in your player which will get you back a smile again, then the musicians who recorded that disk did something right. This is exactly what happened when I started to listen to the debut album of the Swedish power metal act Timeless Miracle. Well, they call themselves speed power-metal but I prefer to name this kind of music happy metal. This album delivers mystic medieval tales from the Nordic countries in a perfect blend of metal, folklore and classical music with great melodies performed with a lot of imagination and fantasy. Well excuse me to quote a few words from the bands bio but they hit the nail exactly on the head with their own description. There are many times that I can only laugh about the words bands put into their bio but this time they are only a big help for me in writing this review.

When I am writing these words down I cannot sit still, I try to dance on my desk-chair. If my grandma would still be alive I would take her by her arms and dance around in my little editors-chamber. We would have a lot of joy and pleasure. ‘Into The Enchanted Chamber’, as this debut is called, is a really refreshing product in the mass of albums that are being released as we speak. Nowadays there is so much waste of disk-space that I can really feel enlightened by a disk like this. These four guys did a really good job in writing some interesting tunes with here and there some very clever mood-changes and there is never a moment of boredom. Can you remember the kind of sounds Gary Moore produced on his 1987 album ‘Wild Frontiers’, especially in a song like ‘Over The Hills And Far Away’ with all those medieval tunes? This is the kind of music you can expect from these Swedes. Singer Mikael Holst sometimes sounds like King Diamond on speed (this should be regarded as a positive remark) on other parts he and the music remind me a lot of Heavenly. This band has its act together; they are an asset to the music-business…
