Erik: Taint hails from Wales and bring us their third crushing album ‘All Bees To The Sea’. You notice straight away that they had accompanied bands like Neurosis or Clutch, but they integrated the influence rather than copying the style.
‘All Bees To The Sea’ is a mere four track EP, which comes to a high in the twelve minute lasting title track. However, as an extra we get a treat in the form of their Roadburn Festival performance in 2008. That amazingly organic recorded set mainly exists of the highlights of their fantastic ‘The Ruin Of Nova Roma’ from 2005 and the badly received but sublime ‘Secrets And lies’ from 2007. Just listen to ‘Poison Pen Attack’ or ‘Born Again Nihilist’, just great songs! The colorful cover of the EP was drawn by vocalist Jimbob, a cry to the listener to follow the band in their new escapades. And you can do that walking as a man or flying as a bee. The EP is, besides the CD, released in a mere two hundred yellow copies which were sold at the last tour, and three hundred blue ones, adding to the colourful stoner doom these guys bring you.
