Koen: After the ’Domain’ album, original vocalist Arnold Oude Middendorp re-introduced himself as Devious’ frontman and original bass player Sven Van Toorn was replaced by Daniël Centiago (Escutcheon). The bandmembers have literally played their asses off since then and have recently released the most crucial record in Devious’ career. The CD was produced by Devious’ main man Guido De Jongh and was assisted by Jochem Jacobs (Textures).

I had high expectations for this album and the fact that they were exceeded is truly amazing! Every tune on this CD deserves comment and analysis. There are no weak sisters. Every track is an instant classic and the playing of everyone in the band is at such a high level of creativity that this music will live on forever. I guess this one of the best death metal albums that ever emerged from Dutch soil and YOU, YOU and YOU have a chance to have your lives changed forever, and ever by buying this brilliant album right now!

Devious will be on European tour in support of Entombed and Merauder in December, so be sure to check ‘em out by then…
