Inimical - Fucked Up Beyond All Recognition (Demo)
Self-financed

file under metalcore

Inimical - Fucked Up Beyond All RecognitionPatrick: It for sure is not the presentation for ‘Fucked Up Beyond All Recognition’ is, especially for a demo, really well displayed. When it comes to appearance it is enough to stand out, but will the six tracks do the same?

Inimical is a Danish quintet with the means to create brutal, raw and fast metal with a thick layer of groove. As bases the band took death metal. By adding some hardcore elements the band balances on the edge of death metal and deathcore. A direction not everybody will like for on one hand it misses the real ferocity of deathcore and the death metal lover probably would not have mind if the breakdowns were not present. Speed you definitely will find at ‘Fucked Up Beyond All Recognition’ and brutal and raw are certainly labels that apply here, but that simply does not instantly make it interesting or appealing. One needs good compositions for it and even though each song is well composed, the material at this demo is too standard and without variation to really stand out. And that is a pity for these guys certainly can play. What now remains is the impression that this is good enough for a demo, but that is about all
