Kim: Blinded Rain exists since 2004 and with ‘Destination Unknown’ they will bring out their second studio album; recorded and mixed at the Scundicoop Studio (Finland) in cooperation with Tuomo Valtonen (who also mixed albums of Finntroll). I was a little bit surprised that this band has its roots in Finland, because normally this kind of dark, rock metal bands come from countries like Germany or England.

I can describe this album in a short, clear language; it’s heavy gothic rock with male vocals and it’s an album that’s very fine to listen to. Blinded Rain is a great band in its genre, if you like bands like Gothminister, Dreadful Shadows and Lacrimas Profundere you should really listen to this band. It is a mix of metal guitar riffs, rock and classical sounds, subtle background singing and sometimes even a power metal voice. One of the reasons that I like this album very much is that I’m totally in love with the voice of Kaide and he definitely deserves a place in my all time favourite list of male voices! A surprising release from the basis of Finland and you should buy this one for sure!
