Lutemkrat - The Last Survivor
Bleak Art Records

file under black/pagan metal

Lutemkrat - The Last SurvivorRoel F.: The surprising thing about Lutemkrat is, besides the fact that it’s a Brazilian product, that this one man band plays desolate depressive black that is not annoying and trite. Of course, it is the usual mix of a double-layered guitar tone and abasive-melodic riffs, buried gaspy vocals, and simple programmed drums (that do no agitate).

It is nothing special, but certainly enjoyable not in the least because of the cold atmosphere and variation in the form of acoustic guitar leads. Those familiar with perhaps Taake and certainly Nargaroth or Ulfsdalir may find ‘The Last Survivor’ an attractive release.
