In 1976, Ibanez approached KISS frontman Paul Stanley to collaborate on a signature guitar that would become the instrument with which he would be forever associated. Now, for the first time since 1996, Paul and Ibanez have reunited to reissue three exciting new versions of the original Paul Stanley Signature Model. "Renewing my collaboration with Ibanez feels like going home to where it all started," commented Stanley. NAPALM DEATH singer Barney Greenway released a statement to president the Indonesian president Joko Widodo. Barney has issued a statement on the case where two Australian drug traffickers are facing capital punishment in Indonesia. He's pleading for clemency, because the Indonesian president (Joko Widodo) is said to be a fan of Napalm Death. Last week a Dutch trafficker, who pleaded innocent from day 1, was already executed. HALESTORM will release its new album, ‘Into The Wild Life’, on April 3 via Atlantic Records. The first single, ‘Apocalyptic’, can be streamed at YouTube.

VENOM, the hugely influential British heavy metal trio widely revered for driving and shaping many aspects of the music industry, including black and thrash metal, released their new studio album, ‘From The Very Depths’, on January 27th via Spinefarm Records. SOILWORK will release their first live DVD/Blu-ray, ‘Live In The Heart Of Helsinki’, on March 13 via Nuclear Blast Records. The disc was recorded during the band's special show on March 21, 2014 at Circus Club in Helsinki and features guest appearances by Floor Jansen (NIGHTWISH, REVAMP) and Nathan J. Biggs (SONIC SYNDICATE).

PERIPHERY has just released its dual albums, ‘Juggernaut: Alpha’ and ‘Juggernaut: Omega’, on January 26 via Century Media Records (via Sumerian Records in the U.S.). The ‘Juggernaut: Alpha’ album is available for streaming here:

JADED STAR – the band founded by vocalist Maxi Nil (ON THONS I LAY, ex-VISIONS OF ATLANTIS) and drummer Raphael Saini (ex-ICED EARTH), along with Kosta Vreto (HORIZON'S END, WARDRUM) and Babis Nikou (ASTRAL DNA, OPENED PARADISE, DIA MAGEIAS) – has signed a deal with Sensory Records. The band will release its debut album, ‘Memories From The Future’, on April 14.

WE ARE HARLOT – the band feat. former ASKING ALEXANDRIA vocalist Danny Worsnop, guitarist Jeff George (ex-SEBASTIAN BACH), bassist Brian Weaver (SILVERTIDE) and drummer Bruno Agra) – will release its self-titled debut album on March 31 via

SILVERCHAIR frontman DANIEL JOHNS will release a new album, ‘Aerial Love’, on January 29.

AGNOSTIC FRONT will release their new album, ‘The American Dream Died’, on April 4 via Nuclear Blast Records. The album will be made available as digital download, on vinyl as well as on CD. A limited bundle with an exclusive t-shirt will also be on sale.

ART OF ANARCHY, the new band featuring Scott Weiland (STONE TEMPLE PILOTS, VELVET REVOLVER) on vocals, John Moyer (DISTURBED) on bass, Jon and Vince Votta on guitar and drums, and Ron "Bumblefoot" Thal (GUNS N' ROSES) as co-guitarist and producer, will release its debut album in the spring. FEAR FACTORY recently entered NRG Recording Studios in North Hollywood, California with longtime producer/collaborator Rhys Fulber and engineer Mike Plotnikoff to begin tracking its new album for an early 2015 release via Nuclear Blast Entertainment. The CD will be mixed by producer Andy Sneap.

ASKING ALEXANDRIA frontman Danny Worsnop has released the following statement: "To all of my friends and fans: I would like to let you know that Asking Alexandria and I are moving forward in separate ways. Over the last eight years together, we've done some amazing things and created something truly special. I now, same as then, want what's best for the band and at this point in time, that isn't me.”

Former Rob Zombie guitarist Mike Riggs has launched a new musical project with Rick Genest, the Canadian artist, actor, and fashion model born in Lasalle, Montreal. Genest is also known as ZOMBIE BOY for the skeletal tattoos covering the majority of his body. Zombie Boy played a leading role in Lady Gaga's video ‘Born This Way’ after being discovered on the web and contacted through Facebook by Nicola Formichetti, Lady Gaga's personal stylist. Formichetti became instantly fascinated with Genest and invited him to complete some photo and video shoots for him. The official lyric video for the ‘Zombie Boy 666 Medley’ from the new project, simply called Zombie Boy, can be seen below. Zombie Boy is expected to release its debut album in the summer and will be touring throughout the spring across the United States.

FAITH NO MORE, which reunited in 2009 for a series of sold-out performances and international festivals, will release its new full-length album in April. The as-yet-untitled CD was recorded in an Oakland, California studio with bassist Bill Gould handling production. The release will be the first from Faith No More's newly formed imprint Reclamation Recordings, which will be distributed by Ipecac Recordings.

POP EVIL will enter Studio Litho and London Bridge Studios with veteran producer Adam Kasper to begin work on an all-new LP, due out this summer. Kasper has helmed mega-hit records for bands like Pearl Jam, Soundgarden and Foo Fighters.

"In Times", the thirteenth studio album by ENSLAVED, will be released on March 6, 2015 via Nuclear Blast. The CD's hand-painted artwork was created by longtime collaborating artist and "sixth Enslaved member" Truls Espedal. The band has just released the first album trailer detailing the development of artwork. Watch the clip below as Truls walks you through the painting process. ‘In Times’ was produced by bandmembers Ivar Bjørnson, Grutle Kjellson and Herbrand Larsen together with Iver Sandøy. Mixing was completed by Jens Bogren at Fascination Street Studios in Örebro, Sweden.

With six full-length albums under their belts, CREST OF DARKNESS have decided that their next release will be an EP, echoing their very first release back in 1996. The four-track EP, titled ‘Evil Messiah’, will be released in both in digipack CD and 12" vinyl formats on February 23rd. One of the tracks is a cover version of Alice Cooper's ‘Sick Things’.

The release date of SHINING’s ninth full-length album, which will be titled ‘IX / Everyone, Everything, Everywhere, Ends’ and will appear on Season of Mist, has been set for the 20th April.

George Kollias from the band Nile has just announced that he will be playing drums on the new DEMONSTEALER album. Sahil Makhija, the frontman of Indian metal band Demonic Resurrection who writes his solo material under the moniker 'Demonstealer' is gearing up to release his sophomore album in May 2015.

Svart Records sets March 6th as the international release date for GARDEN OF WORM's second album, Idle Stones. No further details are announced, no questions further answered for now.

SÓLSTAFIR have just announced that their regular drummer, Guðmundur "Gummi" Óli Pálmason, will not be performing during their upcoming shows. He will be replaced by Karl Petur Smith during this period.

AKASAVA, new faces to the occult-psych metal scene, will release their début ritual EP Strange Aeons in the late spring of 2015.

FORGOTTEN TOMB are on the final lap of the recording process of their next installment, having recently completed mixing duties in Sound Suite Studios (Marseille, France) with producer Terje Refsnes (Carpathian Forest, Novembre, Gehenna, Destroyer 666).

The new HEIDEVOLK album is titled : Velua.
It is a concept album in which the band takes you on a journey through the dark folklore of the forrest region Veluwe, in the Netherlands. The actual name “Felua” had already been taken by Apeldoorn Sheltered Workshop Felua. The stories about nature, gods and creaturesare packed in "in your face"metal songs and epic folk hymns. Velua is from 20 March available in stores or on your favorite streaming site.

MORFINE MACHINE is a new space metal outfit based around Patrick Harreman -usurper, moon of sorrow, voyage (within temptation)- Martijn Horsten -backbone,age of panic- and Roderik Voshol. The album will be produced by Rene Rutten (The Gathering, see our special Modus Operandi next month) and will have guests like Patrick Mameli (Pestilence) and dutch synthesiser guru Rob Papen.
