HEIDEVOLK premieres its new video for the track 'Urth' on Lords Of Metal!

The Veluwe – mythical and utterly beautiful woodlands in Holland – is the setting for Heidevolk`s fifth album Velua. Using this as a backdrop, the Dutch folk / pagan metal act paints a dark picture of ghosts, goblins and brigands in order to raise a monument for Gelderland: anthemic folk parts, clean male vocals and gritty metal provide the perfect soundtrack for the listener`s journey to the sylvan halls of Velua! Check for more information the Heidevolk website and their Facebook page. Online ordering can be done through the Napalm Records shop. The band says: "Diep in het veluwse woud weeft zij mijn leven.

WILLIAM BROCKIE, the father of Dave Brockie, the late lead singer GWAR, has sued the band's surviving members, accusing them of having stolen his son's cremated remains, bass guitars and artwork. Dave Brockie - better known as Oderus Urungus - died March 23rd, 2014, of unintended acute heroin toxicity. GWAR have issued the following statement regarding the press surrounding the lawsuit filed by William Brockie: "We have not yet seen the actual lawsuit papers, and thus cannot comment on the substance of the lawsuit brought against GWAR by Dave Brockie's father, William Brockie, but we can say that the claims in the Style Weekly article are false. We did not steal Dave Brockie's ashes, or anything else that belonged to him. In fact, all of the items mentioned in the article, including Dave's ashes have been available to his attorneys for weeks. At all times, and under very trying circumstances, we have acted in good faith to honor the wishes of our dear friend. We were told by Dave's father that he did not want to be involved in making Dave's final arrangements. For this reason, Slave Pit (management) assumed that responsibility, paying for his cremation, arranging two memorial services (one public and one private), and purchasing a plot for Dave in Richmond's famed Hollywood Cemetery. Dave's father did not attend either of the services held for his son in Richmond."

Weiland posted the following message late last night: "We received a call today about my friend Jeremy Brown that has shaken me to the core. We were all concerned this afternoon when Jeremy didn't show up for a long-scheduled rehearsal for tonight's album release show at School Night. An hour later, Jeremy's family called us to say that he had passed away. I am in shock right now, everyone that knows him is devastated. It is a terrible loss that goes beyond words. He is one of my best friends, a truest friend and one of the most gifted guitar players that I've ever known. A true genius. It's impossible to explain how much he will be missed and what a hole this will leave in our hearts. A post on Facebook feels so trite and small compared to the love that I have for him and for the talent that has passed on but I felt it was necessary to at least start here. Please keep his family in your thoughts." Scott Weiland And The Wildabouts release their debut album, Blaster, today March 31st, through Softdrive Records/Universal Music in Canada.
