Koen B. : Right after the release of their mindblowing 'Perdition Insanabilis' album, Arkhon Infaustus toured with Deicide and some months later with Belphegor and In Aeternum. Mid 2006, the band entered the studio to start the recording of 'Orthodoxyn', which release was delayed more than once due to the dissatisfaction of the band with the sound.
The fourth release is a very solid death metal album which will please many death heads. The band is capable of creating strange and subtle beauty, in other words: they fucking rule the French death metal scene and mass takeovers are soon to come! If you liked Angelcorpse's newest output 'Of Lucifer And Lightning' CD I'm sure you will dig this one whilst it has the same intensity, intelligent song structures, tempo changes and so on.
To me, Arkhon Infaustus moves into a higher level league with this release and I will eat my shoes if they don't make it to the (death metal) top right away! Watch out: 'Orthodoxyn' will be released as a strictly limited edition digibook (1500 copies, including a 40 page booklet), a regular CD as well as a limited to 1000 copies vinyl copies (including a poster), so make your pick. Also a limited gatefold double EP was released entitled 'Annunciation' (including a song of the album and some exclusive tracks).
