Koen W. : Although Blood Feast have always stood a bit in the shadow of big brothers Exodus, Testament and Exumer, they did produce some thrash classics with their first two albums. In the early nineties, however, the band called it a day. In 2010 however Blood Feast got back together, though in a different line-up. That resulted in the album 'The Future of Wicked' back in 2017. After this record, drummer Joe Moore left the band and was replaced by Adam Kieffer. Together with the label Hells Headbanger, it was decided to release an EP specifically aimed at the fans. It will be put out as 12'' and picture disc including the new song 'Concubine' as well as the classics 'Hunted, Stalked And Slain', 'Darkside' and 'Chopping Block Blues'. If you buy the CD or a cassette version, you get 'Chemically Imbalanced' and the live song 'By The Slice' recorded in Japan as bonus tracks. 'Concubine' lets hear sharp and fast played riffs with a lot of lead guitar in between. Singer Chris Natalini with his raw and daring vocals shows some fierce excitement and a nice chorus. It sounds promising and tastes for more. The four following classics were completely re-recorded in the current line-up, and the band still sounds as fresh as in their early years.
