Henk : Flight is a band that joins the ever-growing group of bands that want to reproduce sound from the seventies and eighties. 'A Leap Through Matter' is their second album and a first for High Roller Records. In their own words, this second album is more varied and above all better than the debut, so we're going to take that for granted. Flight has certainly been able to reproduce the sound from the seventies on this album. Everything sounds very natural and is stripped of from all kinds of modern studio tricks. In that respect, it is a very honest album. Songs like the instrumental opener 'Arrival', the somewhat hurried title track and the Thin Lizzy-like 'Ride On' shows the band exactly as they are. Sincerely rocking and sometimes psychedelic.
