Marcel H. : Four songs, forty minutes uncompromising atmospheric sludge from the land of the kiwi, Sir Richard Hadlee and Chris Martin (Google that man, haha). Shallow Grave delivers it extremely properly. Hypnotizing at one point, vile at another, fine-tuned at yet another and at other times as if the Endtimes have arrived. The songs are characterized by a sophisticated build-up where everything flows. Even the transitions from song to song come across naturally and organically. This sees to it that the four songs actually come across as one. Well done.
