Cor : ‘Rockwall ‘is presented very professionally, in a pretty package including glossy A4 info sheet/booklet with the cover art at the size it deserves. I could almost want the vinyl version just for the cover. Piledriver is considered one of the best Status Quo tribute bands, but they also want to present their own musical identity and capability to write their own material. More than their previous album ‘Brothers In Boogie’ they leave the safe path of Quo related stuff, heading more towards sleaze rock/happy metal, with some side steps towards Deep Purple, Rose Tattoo, and Van Halen-like influences. A mix of steady melodic rockers, some more laid-back work, and –of course- a Status Quo cover to honor Rick Parfitt, are on this album with thirteen songs. Nowhere truly amazing or remarkable, but these guys certainly delivered a very decent piece of work, cunningly produced by Stefan Kaufmann ( Accept and UDO). This veteran also took up the drumsticks again to help out the boys, and did a fine job at that also.
