Cor : The stubborn mix of almost mathematical metal and heavy grunge of the previous album ‘Geometry Of The Selfish Herd’ has made quite some turns in my stereo. They released a pretty logical successor with ‘We, The Willing’ although the element of surprise is less available this time. The influences of Alice In Chains and Tool are still part of the foundation, also the chilly metal riffs are still creative and cross, but in a way this album cannot convince as instantly as the predecessor. The band and their music are located in a pretty narrow musical niche of course, being only fully appreciated by a pretty selective audience. Once more the guys delivered a cunningly made album, which cannot be appreciated as much as the previous release by me personally, but will certainly appeal to a relatively small group of listeners who dig this very much.
