Cor : The added info already mentioned it; loads of seventies, and Black Sabbath in particular, coming to the mind when listening to the music by The Rare Breed. A very pleasant journey back in time in this specific case, I must say. The both dragging and thundering riffs are accompanied by Ozzy-like vocal lines, stick to the mind and are completed by excellently tasteful soloing as a true cherry on the cake. The tracks are slightly longer than the average rock song , but succeed in keeping the attention with Cream-like interpretations and fills by the drums and the bass, next to the earlier mentioned superb (and pretty long lasting) ) contributions by the guitar. When you’re into bands like Lord Vicar, Ironbird, Uncle Acid, and other, often Scandinavian based, seventies inspired stoner, you have to give this one a try; you won’t be disappointed. I have just two points of criticism; the playing time is simply too short, and this being a digital download for review means that I still have to get my hands on a physical copy (preferably on vinyl) to give a well deserved place in my collection.
