Koen B. : ‘Private Hell’ is Science Of Disorder’s second full-length output after ‘Heart, Blood And Tears’ (2010, Ultimhate Records). The band eventually started as Soulless, that has two albums out as well: ‘Life Extinction’ (1998) and ‘New Era’ (2002). These are no rookies at all! More recent, the Swiss band inked a deal with Germany’s Fastball Music. S.O.D. (well not Stormtroopers Of Death) has done some gigs with impressive bands such as Megadeth, Entombed and Samael.
The band’s curriculum vitae is filled with great efforts, but how does ‘Private Hell’ sound, you might ask? Science Of Disorder’s music is not easy to put a label on. They play a mixture of death metal with sludge and ambient / darkwave influences. This surprisingly works well because Jérôme Thomas (vocals), Sylvian Pelletier (guitars), Stéphane Grand (guitars), Thierry Pinard (bass) and Baptiste Maier (drums) are gifted song writers as well as skilled musicians. If you do like something different than the obvious shit, Science Of Disorder is band you definitely should check out.
