Koen B. : The Cleaner seems like a new band because they never have been reviewed in Lords Of Metal before, but appearances are deceiving you might say. The band was formed in the year 2000 in a town called Paris / France. They have released several EP’s: ‘The Cleaner’ (2001), ‘Proximity To Death’ (2002) and ‘Let’s Have It Out There’ (2015) as well as a full-length album entitled ‘Would You Like To Be Blasted’ (2010). Now the band has another EP self-released: ‘Vulnerant Omnes Ultima Necat’.

I don’t exactly know what this means because I dropped Latin class back in high school after a torturous year, but my free interpretation is: “aggressive, perverse and offensive”. These are the words to describe The Cleaner’s music. These guys are not easy to put a label on. They play a mixture of thrash metal, death metal and hardcore and they do it well and repeatedly on every four of the songs. The Cleaner is pretty amazing but they will attract only a bunch of underground connoisseurs.
