Henk : 'Lizard Secrets- Part One' is the now-fifth album by Italian Airborn that has been active since 1995. At Lords Of Metal one can find earlier works of these Italians, but then we have to go back to 2002 and 2003. This was at the time of the first two albums of this power metal band. Afterwards, two more albums have appeared, as well as a "live" DVD and CD. This 'Part One' is the first part in a trilogy of albums that will be made for the Spanish Fighter records.

As said before, power metal like the old Helloween, Gamma Ray and here and there you also notice some of the Italian power metal heroes Rhapsody. The band has very decent musicians who recorded twelve (intro not counted) up tempo songs. Outstanding songs are there with threatening 'Here Comes The Claw' and the very fast 'Wolf Child'. Unfortunately, as is often the case with power metal, there are also a number of songs on this album that are not exactly of high quality. 'Land Of The Living' and especially the first part of the song, would do well at a Eurovision song contest in the 80's. Fortunately, they fight back with 'Meaning Of Life' which is up tempo power metal again (hello Rhapsody! ). All in all a good album by Airborn where the enthusiasm is clearly present. That is also nice for a change in the midst of all those angry bands nowadays.
