Koen W. : These Finnish thrashers have been together since they were young teenagers. And that is already ten years ago. Musically you can hear that well, because the eight songs are well worked out with an eye for detail. You hear several layers back and the fast riffs are almost constantly combined with flowing guitar solos. There is ample experimentation with progressive influences, making their thrash metal technically still a bit more experimental than the usual thrash record. Joel Mantyranta delivers a good performance and has an ideal voice for this music. Occasionally he even lets out some death metal grunts. This is mainly expressed in 'The Case Of The Red Ripper'. The madness of the ripper is completely displayed in this album. 'Beware The Lurkers' then has a longer instrumental approach that remains exciting. In short, this is a damn fine album with guaranteed listening pleasure for all thrashers.
