Koen W. : RivetHead is American band that has made nine albums since 2004 but are totally unknown here in Europe. Their latest effort 'Fix Your Enemy' is almost a year old now, but I doubt of this will change much about their status here. Every song starts with a piece of electronics after which the vocals and guitars march in. Those are solid riffs with a lot of industrial influences. It sounds something like a slow Metallica mixed with Fear Factory and Nine Inch Nails. Occasionally you hear a good idea, as like in 'F.IG.H.T. W.I.N.' where the choruses are filled up with cheerleaders who spell the different letters each time. 'Start A Revolution' alas is more of a faint Rammstein rip off. The sad thing though is that each song is built up in the same way, and after some five songs the trick gets old. The electronic intros start to feel childish and musically you do not hear a challenge at all.
