Henk : Thrust is a band that has been more or less active since 1981. Once they could be heard on the infamous Metal Massacre releases and then released some albums and demos, but there was never a real breakthrough. In 2018, Thrust makes another attempt with 'Harvest Of Souls' and it is not a bad one. To say however that everyone has to run to the store to buy this album goes too far. The band plays traditional US metal in the vein of Armored Saint, but a bit less. Singer Eric Claro is somewhat reminiscent of Joey Belladonna of Anthrax but sounds somewhat forced here and there. Songs 'Deceiver', 'Blood King' and 'Kill Or Be Killed' all sound ok but, like the titles, are not very original. Well, of course that is not always necessary, but what Thrust plays is often done and also done better. The album has a solid production and sounds good. Unfortunately, the person who mixed the drums does not know much about it since these sound a bit messy. That unfortunately makes the music a bit messy and that is a shame.
