Erik M. : South America and extreme metal seems to be a match made in heaven (or hell), and also Pleasure of Mutilate partially resolves that promise to the truth. These death metal heroes hail from Ecuador and have been ripping on it since 2009. In 2010 the band released a demo and three years later a split with Ritual Or Flesh. With 'Premonition' there now here's their debut album. Unfortunately, the up tempo death metal, in the vein of Severe Torture, Cannibal Corpse or for example Prostitute Disfigurement, is often incoherent and loses power and also the attention of the listener. The bass work is very prominent in the mix, but the disadvantage is that the dissonant, weird timed fillings are just as prominent, and in my view this does not exactly enrich the album. Vocally all is well if you like the earlier mentioned influences, blunt and varied in all highs and lows. But nothing really special in any way.
