Marcel H. : Four months after the reissue of ‘Conduit’ King Goat surfaces with their next full-length, called ‘Debt Of Aeons’. ‘Debt Of Aeons’ continues where ‘Conduit’ left off. So well-wrought progressive doom. Vocally it now reminds me of Frank Brennan’s, of Mourning Beloveth, clean vocals, although that wasn’t the case before. However, musically it isn’t in the vein of the sort of doom Mourning Beloveth produces. Yes, it is doom, but of the progressive kind. No as ‘progressive’ that it comes across as loose sand. A clear line can be discerned and everything flows very naturally and organically. No progressive show-off for show-off’s sake. The 48 minutes are over before you even notice it. King Goat grows from release to release. It is just a question of time before the band records a true stunner of an album.
