Pim B. : Late 2017 we reported about the re-release of ’Fornications’; the first official release by Brazil’s Expulser. Those three tracks were originally released as part of a split LP with Brutal Distortion (also from Brazil) by France’s Maggot Records. Greyhaze re-released those three songs on vinyl only.
If you don’t have a record player but you are interested in those three tracks, now is the time to strike. They have been added as a bonus to the re-issue on CD of the full-length debut ‘The Unholy One’. That album originally was released as a vinyl only album by Cogumelo Records in 1992. That label did release a CD in 2004 by the way. Greyhaze has done their thing to this album and remastered the original tapes. They also polished the artwork and liner-notes have been added. The album is now available once again on vinyl, cassette and CD. The latter with the aforementioned bonus tracks. For those who might not know, on their earliest work Expulser plays typical South-American death/thrash. Mean, heavy and fast with relatively simple, yet effective, punky riffs. They can be compared to bands such as Sepultura (the early works that is), Sarcofago, Holocausto or Sexthrash. If you get a boner from this maniacal, primal violence, you can easily buy this re-issue.
