Hate Manifesto - To Those Who Glorified Death

Label : Regain Records | Archive under death metal / grindcore

Release type: Re-release

Koen S. : Hate Manifesto actually started as Carpathian Lords in 1997 and played typical Norwegian influenced raw black metal on their two demos. After the name change in Hate Manifesto in 2003 and a break of 10 years, the only original band member W.S.P. reactivated the band again in 2013. Musically a few adjustments were done. In 2015 a split with Wargrinder was recorded and last year this 'To Those Who Glorified Death' was released by Fistbang Records, but the album is now rereleased on cd and vinyl by Helter Skelter Productions/Regain Records.

Hate Manifesto plays a barbaric mix of death and black focusing on the black part. 'To Those Who Glorified Death’ is a cocktail of the war metal of Goatpenis and the dissonant black metal of Inquisition completed with deep death metal growls. Songs like 'To Those Who Glorified Death', 'Disciples Of The Iron Shield' and 'The Deification Of Your Extinction’ are a real riff-fest and the low sepulchral vocals by W.S.P. are one of the better I have heard in recent years.

Warlord Sabathan Possessor, also active in Black Blood Invocation and Cult of Eibon depends just on himself to make this hellish war music and only asked Warhead (Angelcorpse, Perdition Temple, Naer Mataron, Wargrinder) to take care of the drums. And Warhead did a great job at that for sure. If you missed this album last year, here is your chance now and I suggest you grab this opportunity with both hands.
