Koen W. : After two EPs this band from Manchester thought it was time to come up with a debut album. This is how 'Our New Narrative Of Hate' arrived as self-releases. And to be honest, I do not really think that's a surprise. It is simply mediocre at best. The vocals sound very monotonous and fail to convey anything. By bringing in some distortion, the band balances somewhat on the edge of nu-metal. Musically, they also have not succeeded in convincing me. The riffs are too vague and remain simple. There is some groove in it but not more like that. Occasionally there is something nice to hear. 'Silent Submission' has a nice guitar solo and ‘War’ has managed to bring some more variety, yet this does not succeed in making this album rising above the middle class.
