Berto : The Polish Formis simply do what they want to do. They play a mix of death metal and thrash metal with the largest part being the old school death metal. The riffs are admittedly recognizable from thrash metal, but they do have that heavy tone that can also be heard in death metal. The songs are varied in tempo, with nice pounding riffs that showcase the necessary creativity and a solid basis of bass guitar and drums. The power of the songs is mainly in the dynamics, in the change from riffing to solo and back again changing to a different tempo. Comparisons with Hate, also a Polish band, can certainly be made. It is striking that the band sings everything in Polish and also the lyrics in the booklet are in Polish, which does not make it easy to understand what the band is singing about. Singer Marek Zajac has a very compelling voice, so whatever he sings exactly, you believe him immediately. There are people who think that the band is leaning more towards black metal, but I do not hear that at all. If the guitars are played slightly differently, other influences are immediately assigned to a band, but it does not work like that. 'Chaozium' is just a good death metal album with some thrash metal influences that the band certainly does not have to be ashamed of.
