Koen B. : “Back to the glorious Nineties!” is what I’m reading in the comments under the ‘Machines Of War’ EP on YouTube. Maybe one could have said “Back to the glorious Nineties death metal scene” as well, because it’s pretty obvious where Killing Capacity was inspired by. The first thing that comes in mind is Dismember’s 1995 ‘Massive Killing Capacity’. May they rest in peace … or make a glorious return some day.

Anyway, Killing Capacity aren’t copycatting the Swedish death metal gods on their first ever demo ‘Machines Of War’. They sometimes kind of remind me of the German death metal legends Morgoth in their formative years, think of their ‘Resurrection Absurd’, ‘The Eternal Fall’ and ‘Cursed’ era, which was, in my humble opinion, their best one. This kind of music is so refreshing after having listened to a lot of deathcore crap-bands the past few days. Killing Capacity is blowing some scrotums open with this one!
