Erik M. : Xenosis hails from New Haven, Connecticut and deliver an interesting melting pot of technical / progressive death metal. The band set out from their formation in 2010 with a precise goal in mind: to create death metal that blurs the lines. A proper mission statement set to practice on ‘Devour And Birth’. In addition to the well-controlled technical instrumental abilities of the band, the vocals are present in an equivalent and brutal manner. A massive production completes it all. Xenosis know to twist to the width of the influences, where the spirit of bands such as Textures, Meshuggah, Opeth, Voivod, Atheist, Death and The Dillinger Escape Plan are merging into an wayward end product. The style Xenosis play may not be fit for all readers but when earlier named bands trigger you, this release cannot be ignored!
