Job : Kashgar hails from Kyrgyzstan, which is a relatively large country between China and Kazachstan. The group plays a methodical kind of black metal with some stoner influences as well as an occult undertone. Their music is focused on slow tempo changes, relatively standard musicianship and dissonant lead work. The vocals are unfortunately not worth mentioning, as they never pack the punch they should. The drums and guitars never get further than bare-boned necessity and none of the riffs grabbed me. I would leave this well alone, but if your attention is sparked by words like ‘relatively boring’, ‘standard’ and ‘unoriginal’, be my guest.
