Elisabeth : With the layout and the theme of their lyrics the five guys from Switzerland hit the right nerve directly in my case. The white cover with a picture of the image of “Little Boy”, the bomb that destroyed Hiroshima on August 6, 1945, also gives name to the album and a band name like Peace Is Just A Break makes pretty clear what kind of stuff and themes you can expect here. This can get really interesting, unfortunately this is a theme that will always to be much talked about..But let us be honest, with CDs that bands publish themselves, you never know what you're expecting.
Here we get modern melodic death metal, with a little touch of metalcore, ignoring the singing in this case. Just think about In Flames in the early 2000s with a deeper and stronger grunt and a more modern touch in it. You can expect rhythmic and melodic riffs, supplemented with some synthesizers. Peace Is Just A Break have a lot of really good ideas and lot in common and I’m pretty sure that we are going to see them on bigger stages when they get some help from a record label and a promoter. ‘Little Boy’ is definitely a successful self-published album. You can hear and see, in particular, how much energy and time has been put in every second of the music and in every inch of the layout and the booklet. This really has to be appreciated.
