Job : Ever since the rise of the genre NDH, Germany seems to be obsessed with its success and many a musician tries to get in on a piece of the action. Last year, we heard the mediocre Heldmaschine and Stahlmann and this time it’s b.o.s.c.h.’s turn to try and win some Rammstein fans that have stopped caring in their miserably desperate wait for their new album. However, b.o.s.c.h. is a very lackluster melting pot of Sepultura, Machine Head and Rammstein and it makes for an ultimately disappointing listen. While most of it sounds fine from a production standpoint, the influences are blatantly copied more often than not, resulting in an uninspired collection of songs with a vocalist at the helm that sounds less dynamic than many of his colleagues in the genre (and that’s saying a lot). I can only envision this music being remotely worthwhile on a hot summer Sunday, during a festival, after having already consumed copious amounts of beverages.
