Nima : Huh? Is this the same R.U.S.T. from Cyprus that released ’Forged In The Fire Of Metal’ in 2011? Because well, I could definitely appreciate that band/album, and even though the epic heavy metal from those guys was nothing original or shocking, the gentlemen did deliver a bunch of great, and pure heavy metal songs.

But indeed, this is the same band, “exalted” with a “X”… But, what the fuck has happened? Vocalist Tasos Karonias has made way for female vocalist Katerina, and unfortunately that hasn’t been to the band’s benefit. And NO, I have nothing against female vocals, but this young lady doesn’t possess the necessary power a heavy metal vocalist requires. And what we have on ‘T.T.P.M.’ can’t be described as heavy metal anyway. There are still plenty of traces from traditional heavy metal, which specially come forth in the guitars. But in general this is a mix of heavy metal guitars, melodic hardrock, and poppy rock! What the fuck? Where is that heroic, rebellious metal worship? Where are those catchy, dragging epic riffs? Where are those high-pitched vocals? This is not the band I got to know six years ago. This sounds more like your average melo-rock band that provides the background music on some biker fest. Purely musically it all sounds okay and the ladies and gentlemen have managed to deliver a bunch of decent and versatile tracks. But the whole thing doesn’t ignite at any time whatsoever, and the I’m sorry to say this, but this is just boring. Maybe it would have been better to change the name altogether?
