Koen B. : ‘Twisting The Truth’ is No Second Chance’s third demo after ‘Demo 2000’ (2000) and ‘Opposition Expressed’ (2005). Sure these Greek thrashers are lazy scumfuckers but you cannot blame them for that! I mean, I just looked at the weather forecast from their hometown Thessaloniki and with temperatures of about 35 to 40 degrees, a chance of precipitation of only one percent and a humidity of about 66 percent I wouldn’t mind about metal either and enjoy the weather and only drink ouzo, Alpha, Vergina, Fix, Mythos, Neda and other cheap but nice beer brands all day long.

The demo cover is a bit confusing because I assumed No Second Chance was a punk or a hardcore band and whilst surfing the internet I also found a U.K. hardcore band that goes by the same name. Anyway, as I said before this one hails from Greece and they are pretty nice. I think their influences are rooted in various other styles than thrash only. ‘Twisting The Truth’ can be seen as a filthy underground thrash metal album with some groove and hardcore elements. One way or the other, No Second Chance keeps reminding me of Cerebral Fix’ 1988 ‘Life Sucks … And Then You Die!’ album. No bad, not bad at all!
