Koen W. : These French rockers release their second album with 'Getting Through'. The band members themselves are already passed the cape of forty and this is clearly expressed in their music. They poured out rock-n-roll with sometimes a firmer edge. Nevertheless, several songs are also heading for those sultry, hot terraces of the southwest of the United States where they still love an authentic piece of blues. The rock songs are melodic and the guitar solos show a lot of swung. What is less however is the singing. The vocals sound very raw and is sung in that typical jazz and country style. No, I’m sure there’s an audience for that somewhere, like on the countless lttle local festivals where liters of beer flow and the smoking ban has not yet been put in effect. The enthusiasm of the band will certainly not be the problem because it is clear these guy have a great time while playing together. But personally it’s not really my cup of tea.
