Job : A band can choose to stay underground, and it’s become a trend lately in certain genres to try and stay underground for as long as possible. Locust Leaves from Greece must’ve been doing it for long, as I’m still struggling to find anything about the band. I wonder what’s the point of releasing an album if your main purpose is to stay underground; why not just keep the recordings to yourself and achieve the crown of obscurity? Locust Leaves’ sound is akin to a black-inspired prog metal mush but is too messy to truly impress. Guitarist Ayloss (Spectral Lore) adds some dissonance but never really grabs the listener by the balls and vocalist Nick K sounds like he wants to sing in a Ghost coverband more than anything else. Not really worth your time.
