Cor : The previously released album 'Ghosty Avenue' from 2013 did re-appear in my stereo several times, and maybe even slightly grew in listening pleasure. The traditional eighties melodic metal with links towards WASP and Quiet Riot have gained more German ingredients on the new album. The songs sound heavier, darker, more in the line of Accept and Running Wild. There are no questions about the craftsmanship of the musicians, and despite the variation in pace and song structure, a feeling of boredom can arise. Several listening sessions could not make a growing process happen, like with the previous album. Maybe this has got something to do with this album being a concept album (a story about an alien invasion) and the songs have been drowned in a binding flavour, I don't know. At their strongest moments some tracks are heading towards a Pretty Maids level, but lack that last bit; a real pity. This one is certainly worth a try when you're into this stuff, but success is not guaranteed.
