Bart D. : Call me confused. I consider myself to be a very open-minded music lover. But this band has both an opening and ending song that scream progidy-prog, while the middle songs sometimes scream squishy cheesy family-friendly pop music. Sometimes it works, sometimes it's just not good enough. A song like 'Make Believe' really makes me cringe, despite all the good parts in it. The male and female vocals combined sound like friend and girlfriend having fun and wanting to spread their wisdom. It feels like religious messaging at times. Maschine clearly have a lot of chops, and their crystal-clear sound is something that's very hip with a lot of people. So they might just find a solid fan base - they do deserve it. But I do hope they sell per song as well.
