Berto : If you look up the name Red Dawn through various search engines, you do not come right to this French death metal band. As a result, you get two movies (with mediocre reviews) and three bands that are active under this same name. The version we are talking about here, playing technical death metal in the style of Nile, Suffocation and Morbid Angel. This style suits me just fine, only it is true that it all sounds very compact because of the many notes played and the speed at which this occurs. It requires a lot of the musicians, but they excellently carry out their task on this debut album for Finisterian Dead End Records. 'Algorithm Of Destruction' is a powerful statement of the band, with rapidly executed guitar riffs, tight drum work and a vocalist with a rough voice that are all adjusted excellent to each other. The technology of this century has been combined with the feeling of the nineties, the period of the rise of death metal. Problem is perhaps that this style is already being played by a lot of bands and their own identity is hard to find. But let it be clear that Red Dawn can compete at the highest level when it comes to extreme technical death metal.
