Pim B. : ‘Døden Læger Alle Sår’ is the third album by Denmark’s Undergang and the title means as much as “death heals all wounds”. After two albums on Xtreem Music this new one comes out on Dark Descent Records from the USA. It will also appear on vinyl later on through Me Saco Un Ojo Records. The latter also released Undergang’s debut ‘Indhentet Af Døden’ on vinyl. This being all info on the various editions of this new album. An album the band recorded in 2014 in the United States in the Earhammer studios after they did a three week tour.
‘Døden Læger Alle Sår’ contains ten songs that sound ultra-heavy. Even a band like Autopsy sound like lightweights compared to Undergang. Of course Autopsy is an influence on this band but if you need to describe the band you should think in the direction of bands like Rottrevore, old Grave, Coffins or Funebrarum. So down tuned death metal with an extremely deep grunt. In general the songs are quite simple but that fits this form of death metal perfectly. If you don’t give damn about technical skills but you love a super heavy sound you should definitely listen to ‘Døden Læger Alle Sår’. The band will be on tour soon with Australia’s StarGazer so catch ‘m while you can.
