Koen B. : This is kinda cool! Leave Scars is probably named after Dark Angel’s 1989 album. The band hails from Turnhout, Belgium and holds (ex-)members of Hard Resistance, D.O.A., Sanitarium, Warbeast Remains and so on. The band already played the prestigious Wacken Open Air and Graspop Metal Meeting festivals after winning some band contests. The band debuted with their 2007 ‘Unit 731’ demo, followed by their first full-length ‘The Arrival’ in 2013. Their third output is called ‘Chains Of Redemption’ and was released through Spinal Records (Hell City, Age Of Torment, Powerstroke). The CD can be recognized as old school thrash metal by the book. It is skilfully done. Fans of (old) Metallica, Testament and Exodus however don’t buy a pig in a poke with this energetic thrash metal album that has some great tunes on it. Thumbs up for Leave Scars!
