Pim B. : I wasn't familiar with Russia's 7 H. Target. The band was active as Surgeont between 2005 and 2010. In 2010 this trio decided to rename themselves as 7 H. Target. In this period the band recorded quite a bit and '0.00 Apocalypse' is already their third full-length. Perhaps full-length is a bit much for a 27-minute recording. On this album drummer Mikhail, bassist Konstantin and guitarist Aleksey were assisted by former Katalepsy vocalist Mirus. He did this as a guest so he's not an actual member. Meanwhile guitarist Aleksey has left the band, which means 7 H. Target is a duo now.
The band shows modern, brutal and technical death metal on this album that was mixed by Neil Kernon. Personally I have heard it all and there are only a few bands that actually can add anything to the genre. '0.00 Apocalypse' gets the benefit of the doubt though as the band delivers some exciting compositions that are progressive and experimental with even a sometimes clinical vibe. The fact this album isn't that long also is a positive aspect because I truly wonder if you would endure a 50-minute album with songs like these. It definitely isn't an easy album, but it is an album on which plenty is happening. Die-hard fans of brutal and technical death metal definitely will like this.
