Koen B. : The original version of 1982’s ‘Cows And Beer’ by Milwaukee / Wisconsins Die Kreuzen came out in a limited run through the Version Sound label and nowadays easily sells for a few hundred bucks. The six-track EP also has been bootlegged many times. Therefore Die Kreuzen and Beer City Records decided to re-release this early 80’s hardcore EP to commemorate Record Store Day. This official re-release was pressed in five different colors (1000 each of red, gold, blue, green and clear vinyl). The EP features liner notes by the band as well as the original lyric sheet. ‘Cows And Beer’ is a bona fide American hardcore classic that needs to be in your collection and this RSD re-release is a good alternative to avoid those who ask ridiculous prices for the original EP. I read Beercity Records will be re-releasing the first few MDC LP’s soon as well so keep an eye on those. Keep up the good work people at Beercity!
