Winston : Pfew ... well... where to categorize Viza within the house of Lords of Metal? Prog rock it is. Because the heavy rock with metal, oriental and pop influences of this multi-cultural company does more things than to catch a specific genre. With K'Noup as a unique vocalist and the overall sound of the band soon System Of A Down comes to mind. It is therefore entirely logical, given the also present Armenian influences that is featured in Viza. In addition, this band also was a support act for SOAD anyway, so they rub against each other anywhere. Viza has been around since 2001 and has already released quite some material. So that the path has led to the album ‘Aria’ and really, there is nothing wrong with it; it's varied, catchy, powerful and compelling. I like this quite well to play now and then as it is also quite refreshing to hear some instruments that belong in the folk genre, just like Leningrad Cowboys sometimes do. Charm price of this month is going to Viza.
